track area or the skis?Question I am going to put scratchers on my Attak for lubrication and cooling should I be concentrating on my

You will get mixed answers to that question. I put them on my skis because I have a zx2 skid and wasn't about to start drilling holes in it. They worked great for kicking snow into the skid but they were a bit of a pain in the butt. For whatever reason the right one wouldn't stay on the ski when I didn't need them and then when............you guessed it...........I went into reverse and bent it. @#&^*%$#@. They are spring steel and a pita to bend back into shape. These were the ones that are suposed to be mounted on the skid. Never tried the cabke ones.

IMO - track area. I started using cable type scratchers on 2 sleds last year and all I can say is WOW! Probably only needed to run one at a time and alternate when one makes a stop.

I had them on the skis and they kept hitting stuff and they would turn and end up not touching the snow. Moved them to the rails and I will never go back... that are a must have... crazy how good they work.

agreed, I mounted a set of Dura-Flex on my skid and my hyfax look brand new after a full season. The cable units allow you to reverse while down.

I use Red Neck scratchers and they work great and cost less than a buck. YouTube!
