Has anybody had one of these go bad? Can't get the sled to idle down Past 3,000 rpm. It did once come down to 1,800 then it went back up.

Yes I've had one do that. There is a thermostat in the water end where hoses connect. Just like any thermostat they can go bad.

Ok so i took it apart and heated it up and the piston moved out as it should so thats not the problem. Kinger on here suggested i start checking vacumm hoses which i found all good at tight. I decided i was going to pull my intercooler off which has a ratchet strap holding it on and i found that my buddy who put it on around the frame had the coolant hose that is from the front off the engine to the throttle bodies. And guess where that hose from the other side of the bodies goes ????????? To the idle air control vavle. It makes sense. If the coolant can't flow through the throttle bodies back into the engine the idle air control will never heat up because it has no coolant flow through it. I'll start it tomorrow and see if that did the trick. Tunnel dump exhaust on a concrete floor in a garage at midnight is probably not a good idea. Will update tomorrow.
