my sled usually idles between 1700-1900 rpm which i think is normal but sometimes lately she idles down to 1200-1300 I thought it might be snow in airbox but none there and not sure what to do about it sometimes when I shut her off and start her up again she idles normal. any ideas

Mine does the same if i work it hard in the powder. It usually picks itself up after 5 seconds or if i hit the gas a bit it comes back up.

my 09 does it as well - usually when it is warm and the air temp is also warm - once it starts it will idle low and then pick up. i think it's the sensors in the air box sucking warm engine air.

Never had it happen with my original engine but my replacement engine does this, Sometimes it idles right were it should between 1700-1800 and other times it idles down around 1300-1400 for a bit before it starts to pick back up again. I have to be really careful how I give it gas when its idling that low or it will die when I try to take off. I though it was due to breaking in the new motor BUT I now have more miles on the new motor then the old motor had and it still does it.

Mine does the same as blueironrangers. It does it whether its cold or warm out and whether riding in powder or trails. Mine stalls out when I come to a stop unless I keep thumb on the trottle for a few seconds then it will idle at 1200-1400 rpm. Sometimes if I shut it off and start it up right away it will idle between 1700-1900 rpm for a few seconds then back to really low idle. It idles great after engine warms up but after a few miles its up to its old tricks.

Two things I would look at. The airbox lid seal, and the throttle body boots. Make sure everything is sealed up tight. Mine was bogging in deep snow, and doing the funny idle thing every once in a while, and it turned out to be the airbox lid seal.
