Well i just had to replace 4 wheels on my nytro since you can replace the bearings i had to buy 4 wheels. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in yamaha wheels with replaceable bearings or if everyone just buys aftermarket ones.
I work at a machine shop and was going to maching my old wheels to get the bearings out and cut a groove for the clip that would hold new bearing in. That way you would be able to just replace the bearings and not the whole wheel.
Just wanna get some opinions on this and see if it would be anything anyone would be interested in.
thanks

The Yamaha spoked idlers that you buy have replaceable bearings. I believe these are the only ones they offer that have the 6005 bearings that the Nytro takes. So...if you buy replacement Yamaha wheels, you'll get ones with replaceable bearings.
I had to deal with this same issue after last season...the four front idlers were all either tight or gravelly, but the wheels were perfect, so I bought 4 of the spoked idlers from Yamaha and threw away four good wheels with four molded in junk bearings.

Re: idler wheels...replaceable bearings....Anyone interested
I was planning to do the same thing, but mine were good with a bit of fresh grease injected in the bearings.
I'll be interested to hear how it works out if you do machine some.
