A base model LTX.... I'll build some Ohlins for it (I have not forgotten you, Don). Now, will I have time to ride it?

I was thinking the same thing, not sure the SE is worth the extra $ just for the Float 2 shocks and you get the heated seat on the standard...I do love that blue and white one though?
I see your from Western MA are you going to be shopping the dealer in Adams?

I like the base model, no paint/powder coat to scuff up and ruin on the tunnel. The only red that will be hard (relative) to remove is the small stripe on the seat. Plastic color change will be easy, if that needs to happen. I'll put the money saved towards the Ohlins.

Ronnies in Adams will have a chance to earn my business... they have been hit or miss over the years.

Where do you ride?

That's the unit I would like too. I think 137" would be perfect for what I do and I personally like the raw tunnel best. Not sure about the standard coil over shocks. I saw one of the test crew pace sleds (Vector) at the demo ride In the MPLS area had piggy back ELKA shocks. They looked sweet.

I ride Savoy, Hawley, Windsor area around here, Woodford from Heartwellville mid week only, A trip to Island Pond mid week only once a year on a Monday to Friday and maybe an overnight to the Pittsfield VT area here and there. How about you? I bought My 04 Warrior from Ronnies but then in 08 they had a left over 06 Nytro and wouldn't move on the price, I thought that was odd with the new FX being out at the time? I bought my 07 in 08 for $5200 with 300 miles on it so it was like new, I have that working so good I'm keeping it and trading in the 09 Vector Gt. Maybe Troy City garage or Menneto? Ronnies has been in left field on price for years now.

not to jack your thread but you should try brownells in easton the service is exellent

I want a blue one in 129", but not an RTX with stiffer suspension. I don't know why the base model isn't offered in blue, as I'd wouldn't mind the heated seat and trunk bag too. The LTX SE 137" might be my next choice...

I am thinking the base model as well, now the next decision is the 137 or the 129

You ride the same general areas I do... we should try to ride next year.

I will check out Brownells.

Who else is buying?

If things aline.Looking forward to your suspension mods. Why has Ohlins not made any ZPS type shocks? They work awesome on quads.I think if perfected ZPS could give SRX handling with big suspension.Look at Baja trucks. Many are as low as stock or lower.Rally cars also.

I am glad that you guys are willing to be the guinea pigs for the rest of us that know better than to buy the first year model of anything. Good luck and let us know how it works out next season!

I'm thinking about one, looking at a ltx not sure wich one I like the black tunnel on the se but like the heated seat and tunnel bag on the base ltx. The white looks nice but hard to keep clean.

Well said

For now, Ohlins has pretty much suspended snowmobile R&D, but will produce snowmobile shocks if there is a large enough order. They have TTX30 shocks available for Nytro and Apex models. They still supply all parts for anyone to build their own snow shocks... As for PDS, I have specs for an Arctic Cat Snow Pro Racer shock that uses it... shouldn't be difficult to build something.

While this sled is a new combo, almost every part of the machine has been around for at least several years. I'm not terribly worried about problems... but, it will be what it will be.
