Has anyone put a handlebar riser on their 03 RX-1? Does it improve it at all? I'm 6'4 250lbs so my knees almost hit the handlebars!! My only concern is that the sled is already tippy and this might add to the problem. Any thoughts?? What kind of sled is good for my size?

I custom made my own 2 inch riser works without cable extensions, if I had to do over Id go with a 3 or 4 in. and cable extensions so I could stand a little easier.

Whats been done to your sled? Ifits totally stock it will be very tippy. I have done tons of stuff to "personalize" mine and its awsome

Your 03 will be tippy until you do some of the mods that the newer sleds got from the factory. Maxximum performance among others has some straight rate front springs an oversize swaybar and longer sway bar links all of which improve stability greatly. I am 6' 4" 265 Lbs so I know where you are coming from. I went with the 2.3 springs I think (the heaviest ones) the 11MM sway bar (the biggest one) and the longer links they helped alot also I pushed my bars all the way forward and put 4" of foam in my seat it helped with the squat of the seat and having to pick my big #*$&@ up when the big bumps where coming. I also did a Ski Doo suspension in mine and it made the ride much better plus weight transfer for not spinning is improved, but you dont need to do that for tippiness.

Nope. 13mm is the biggest bar.

I put a 2" Rox riser on ,,no problem, makes a big diff.

Lots of people have put higher.

You wil need a longer cable. Some say you can go 2" without a longer cable but dont do it... YOu will have probems when turning...hits the gas..also can make the thors mess up.. I bought a stoke mountain cable from a ty user for mine.

Keep reading there are lots of mods you can do..(simple) to make it better.

I love mine

I was able to go more once I got the wires and cables out of the goldish wire keeper and trimmed the fuel tank cover in front of the steering shaft a lil . the riser I made went up 3" and forward 2" (about 4" all together) . that will help in keeping your feet in place when standing/sitting and these mods are free ones .

I now use 07' bars, 5" articulating risers
