Just brought back 2 Vectors for the US,only GST and RIV to be paid,no duty,as the Title says Title Of Orign is USA,even that they are made in Japan, its what the title says.

No you cannot, they have to go back to the us for any warranty work.

Warranty

I love hearing that. That those *&^% 's that go all that way south to save themselves a couple of hundred bucks and then they can't get warranty. That's awsome.

I don't think the majority of the people understand how much the dealers actually make on a new sled....peanuts. $ 500-$ 700. Max. Sometimes when a deal is to good to be true... it is.

Support you local dealer. Or someone who is honest and will bend over backwards for you. Markham Mower is my dealer and I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else.

Peanuts yea ok he probably saved over $4000 on both sleds. Thats a whole lot of peanuts.

Yeah, a lot of peanuts. I'd buy south again in a second. I bought my '06 GT in Feb/06, so it was still current year and still snow on the ground. It had 300 miles on it, billet ski handles/gas cap, Yammy bag under the hood, oil filter, plugs, belt. I had it home after taxes and all for $10k. To buy new here was $15.2 +tax or something like that, if you could find a leftover GT.

I put a 4-year warranty on it and drive maybe 5-minutes further than I would to the closest dealer I would CONSIDER going to in Ontario.

BTW, 4-year warranty was $500, up here most you can get is 2-year and it was $1147.06. I'm all for supporting the local guys, but when do you stop bending over??? Oh, and that's also when the dollar was $1.14 or something...not even or better like today!

RTX Rox, either you have way to much money or you are using your fingers and toes to add.

Thats enough peanuts to start a small elephant farm. LOL Sorry couldn't help it. Maxdlx

Couldn't help but chime in here boys. I agree full heartedly with crossing the border. Just purchased a 07 attak (new of course) for 8500 canadian. Plus 206 at border and applicable taxes, all of which you pay here anyway. Add them peanuts up and with the same sled here for 12k at least, well you do the math. I'm sick of paying premium and since the dealers always cry there is no money in sales, well I'll bring um my sled and they will make money on servicing. As far as warranty goes, no biggie just fix it yourself or take the little time to bring it back for service across the border. Its a yammi, how often do they break anyhow.

CDN doller hit $1.05......today....if my local dealer offers me an Attak below $9,000k I'd buy one but they want $13,5......I found one for $8,000 NEW

That's sad....just like at the Toronto sled show...a dealer had a new 07 RTX, for JUST $14125!!!!!

Its a mess Yamaha Canada's sales are going to plummet. I feel for the guys who bought their 08's this spring. If Yam Can drops the price they are going to have to reimburse these guys first as they should. In fact for good faith to those who bought early even go one better and offer them a super deal.
