My VIPER brother totaled out his sled. It was a very fast CPR piped VIPER
He would like to go back to POLARIS but they dont excite him.
So now he is thinking of ( I cant believe he said this ) going 4-stroke. As for 07 the only YAMAHA he would get is the RTX. He drives hard and likes to get some air. I know he would love the 4-stroke motor.
He will not buy one until spring or this fall. He wants to see the 08 before he buys anything. So has anyone got some good info on 08 sleds...Gary.

I dont expect big changes to apex until 09

I dont expect any changes to the apex, But I DO expect to a new sled and updated motor. From talking to people that actually have seat time on them they are working very well.
In mountain form the new sled is out performing the Apex even with less power and a smaller track. The key is weight.
I also thought the release date was feb 14th?

Right now the Phazer mtn is about 90 lb lighter than the Apex Mtn (Apex 632 and Phazer is 543 both without gas according to AMSNOW)
Say the larger motor and track add 25lbs - I still think they may have to add heat exchangers - but maybe not.
60 lbs lighter than an Apex?
Apex lb/hp 632/150 = 4.21
Phazer lb/hp 543/80 = 6.79
FX Mtn 570/130 = 4.38
FX Mtn 550/130 = 4.23
