Did I do something wrong. The apex manual for an 07 doesnt go into detail about a complete oil changes. Just talks about the reserve tank no oil filter change. Anyways with that said I put the full 3.2 US qrts right into this tank. I didnt add any to the engine directly. I didnt see a place to fill into the engine? Any ideas? Did I f*** up? Iam going to the UP in a week.. Let me know..
Thanks

Check your oil level. What does it say? Popular opinion says most people just add to the tank, check level, run it, check level and add.

Can someone shine some light on this, is this where the screen is located?

I followed the instructions in the owners manual, and did not see where they said add oil to the engine.

Yes, that is where the screen is. And, I also am interested to see that in writing, that I should add oil to the engine.

Sorry guys, must have had too many beer with my oil change but not a huge mistake. It is 2L to the tank and rest in the motor, I had it backwards. Here is word for word from my manual.
7. Fill
- Engine Oil (with specified amount of recommended engine oil) Chart below shows 3L for oil &filter change.
- Add 2L of the recommended engine oil to the oil tank, and then install and tighten the oil level guage/dipstick and the cylinder head cap.
Then it goes through checking for leaks and fire it up.
To me this is saying to add 2L to the tank and the remaining to the engine. Unless you guys know of some other hole to put the remaining oil into???
I am very new to this so please correct me if I am wrong. I edited my original post on instructions to include the change in quantities and location of fill.
Cheers.

As long as we're talking about the owner's manual, doesn't it say you don't have to change the filter each oil change? That saves lots of time.
I forget the mileage they recommend between filter change.

Yes your right but a full oil change = an excuse for a full night in the garage drinking beer and listening to loud tunes.

Nothing worse than telling the old lady your going to be working in the garage all night and have her come in and your sitting on the stool with the sled back together and 12 empties on the bench. Oops.

My owner's manual says to change the filter every 12,000 miles??? Is this correct- I just did the 1st change today it took about 3 hrs.
