I went to fire up my 03 Rx-1 today and the battery was dead,
I boosted it and warmed the motor up, I noticed the engine light came on and went off several times, I took it out for a rip around the property, seens to run fine, but now the tach and gauges don't work for a second , then they come on for a second, and then go off again, it does this repeatedly on and off again, what's up with this?????
any suggestions would be great

The battery is probably not holding a charge now making your whole ignition system weak. I would replace the battery.

Yes......if you have the original battery in it....it's time for a new one.
