Installing a tether on a 07 RTX...What wires???? HELP!!!

There are only two wires coming from tether in this kit.Closed loop type for 4 strokes.
I was going to try putting the wires on the ignition key wires on each side.

Anyone else have a tether installed and where did you splice your wires in to make it work

stoutner wrote. I have installed one on my Apex. It is a lot easier than you might think. You must buy the correct one. It is the "normally closed" tether that you need. You can get it from Ulmer or from any Parts Unlimited dealer. Just have them look up the switch that is "Normally Closed". Most ATV and sled dealers will have one in stock.

You basically splice it into one of the wires that comes out of your kill switch. I think I spliced mine into one of the brown wires. I started the sled, pulled the tether, and it killed the engine....done.

It'll take you less than and hour to do it right. Maybe 20 minutes if your good....no big deal.

You cut the brown wire and wire either side of the tether to each end of the cut brown wire coming from the kill switch.
