I just got a expert x last night. I was wondering if anyone here has any quick numbers so I can get this thing in.
I would like to get it in so I can try it out before the snow melts. I am pretty sure this will be my last 2 days to ride.
I did read here about putting it on a viper but not sure if this will work out the same.
http://www.totallyamaha.com/ExpertX...rtX_Install.htm
Also I do not have the plates to mount it. I am going to put home made plates on the inside.
Also does anyone know how I can get the back hole marked without using the stock plates. On figure 2 it does not show you how to get the back hole.
Anyone know the distance between the middle of the front bolt to the middle of the back bolt?
Also is there a place that I can down load a manual for this.
If you might have some info you could call me on my cell at 717 629 7237
thanks joe

They don't show you the back hole because its already in the outside bracket. You measure off the driveshaft to get the front hole, then stick a bolt through the outside reinvorcement bracket, line up the top of the bracket with the top of the tunnel and then drill the rear hole. If you don't have the outside bracket I'm not sure how you'll get the back hole.

No outside bracket>>>
The guy left the outside brackets on his sled. I think I can make it work if I can get someone to measure the distance from front to back bolt.
It would be nice if I had the brackets though or a measuring diagram of the bracket.

Call Matt at www.sledtech.com
He has special plates that mount to the outside of the tunnel. You didn't say what sled you have, but these plates are for the Apex models. These plates made the instal time for a snap. Took me all of an half hour to instal once I had my Mono and drop brakets out. Give him a call.

I did call him and everything is setup. He is going to give me the inside and outside brackets for the sled.
