Going to put the Drag N Flys in today and have a couple of questions. What do you torque everything to when you put things back togeather? Also I'm using Turks set up so I think I'll try 3 washers + lock washer in the shoulder and a steel bolt in the center hole...I'm a big guy (270lbs without gear) and I was wondering if this was enough weight or should I go with 5 in the shoulder and 1 washer in the center? I was an Arctic Cat guy and this is my first time taking apart a Yamaha clutchg so wish me luck LOL...Thanks!!!

i went with 5 and a lock washer in the shoulder, and 1 bolt and washer in center, had to add the fifth washer as the rpm were over 9 grand, the fifth washer brought the rpm under 8900. I weigh 265 without gear

85 lbs...Just went for a ride and I'm hearing a squeek at about 2-3 MPH...Belt deflection?? I know on my ZR 900 a little squeek was a good thing...not sure about Yamaha. Goes away when I stop. Seems to pull way better (about 3 inches of powder on the trrail so hard to tell) and no more belt slip at low speed (I like this!!). BTW What RPM's should I be hitting?? Thanks !!

Clutch is 80ish ft lbs then loosen and retorque to 46ftlbs I believe, Wouldnt worry much about rpms , powerband is huge and power doesnt start to drop drastically till well over 9grand.

Turk,
Is it true this setup is more for aggressive off the line pull? Heard you loose some on the top end, and get more on the low end in return. Is this true, and if so is it worth the trade off for a trail rider?
