I took the clutches off to clean them and want to make sure that I put them back on properly so I have a few questions:

Everything was working well when they were removed so other than drying them is there any other maintenance to do?
Should the primary shaft get a little wipe of oil to prevent rust before putting the clutch back on?
Does anything else get lubed?
There are two torque specs for the primary (85 ft/lb and 43 ft/kb) so I'm assuming that the high torque is done first to seat it and then you loosen it and re-torque to 43?
What's the best way to keep the primary from moving when you are torquing it down?

Thanks

I usually just clean the shaft with steel wool or sandpaper to get the rust off, l haven't oil it up as the oil may work it's way to the clutch components. You're correct with the torque and I just use a bar through the clutch, just watch not to damage the spring.

put a bit of neversieze on the pto shaft. use a piece of hockey stick shaft (2 ft long) to hold the primary from turning.
