If you've ever struggled with installing a ski bolt because the bolt won't align with the ski bushing hole due to a tight ski rubber this technique usually works well. Start the bolt through the ski bushing and into the spindle then use a pointed pry bar or punch to help align the hole. Usually you'll need to pry up on the bar to align the hole. Tap the bolt in until it hits the pry bar then give the bolt a good solid hit to drive the bolt through and the bar out.
