I totaled my 07 Phazer FX this weekend - $5284 damage and I'm waiting for the insurance to make a determination. I want the sled back as i have ski's, windshield, free ride, wheel kits etc I have put on it plus i think i can part it. What's the insurance going to come back with? If anyone has a real world experience with this let me know.

homeowners wont cover anything that can be insured seperately.

the insurance company should use one of these web sites to find value kbb.com or nada.com
the total loss threshold ( at least in wisconsin) is 70% if the damage to the sled is at or excedes 70% (wisconsin) the insurance co. will total it
they will brand the title as such
as for buying it back most insurance call around and get a value for the sled crashed and if you want to buy it back you have to pay them that ammount or they will just take it off the insurance check

Are you guys all covered under homeowners or is this a seperate policy?

Mine is a seperate policy but they won't give me collision for some reason

My freind totalled his 2005 Renagade SDI last month. Insurance paid $5200, sled buy back was $700

yeah i totaled my 07 and i bought it back for $400
