If you could post up the dimensions of your intercooler core and the brand setup it comes off of that would be great.. Im trying to get an appropriately sized IC for my setup and was just trying to see what others are running.

You should be able to find reference books or formulas online for calculating the core size you'll need based on your specific air flow CFM and boost pressure, etc.
Each application is different.

yeah, I have been working on that, im more or less just curious what is coming with kits.. my thought with that is that most of the calculating is based around car aplications, I know that HP is HP on cars or sleds, but im somewhat curious if sled folks are running the same volume(airflow) just smaller area with the cooler air temps we are blessed with.

The the FPP intercoolers I have used, the sizes have typically all been calculated based on HP and acceptable pressure drop at the CFM / boost level of the particular engine displacement.
The key is the amount pressure drop (loss), not so much the cooling air available is winter. Ground speed also dictates how much air passes by it anyhow, if you are in the mountains (Powder) you don't have the fast ground speed like we do in the flatland groomed trails.

He can read all day to come up with the "proper" size.
His question is valid makes sense that it would save a ton of time to have some general guidelines.
I will get you the core size on my MPI stage 1 kit which is the smaller IC they offer for your reference.

RX-1 Bender/Full Power Kit: 5.5" x 9.75"
RX-1 Simons CPR Kit: 8" x 14"
I believe the Bender had a 3" thick core, but I think the Simons CPR kit had a 2.25" thick core, but I don't remember for sure.

perfect... thanks from the ulmer crowd.
as far as reading on it.. i spent about an hour on it... and i found a LOT of info that was very useles.. for the groundspeeds I am looking at most people arent even worried as they are still not even barely moving in there cars(very little load)
I found an 11x12x3" one that looks almost perfect for my application, and the benefits of the way my system will be setup, is its like a normal frount mount IC setup, but a little more angle, and tons of space behind to let air pass throught very rapidly vs the RX ones laying on top of the battery area.

i think the one i used on my nytro was that same 11x12x3. It's plenty big and was a little tricky to fit but its nice to not have to worry about intake temps. I just bought an automotive one and chopped of the tanks as it was way cheaper than any core alone that i could find.

Core
I have a core I will sell you that I can sell you very cheap. It is about the same size as I have on my vector and mine never even got warmer very far up the cooler. Shoot me a PM if your interested.

if your looking for a core that you are gonna weld on the bar and plate style is way easier than the tube and fin

thanks for the info on welding.. im betting you bought the same one off ebay.. good source of cores even if the tanks are totally wrong shape. you buy a cx racing one?
dirk.. pm comin your way man!!
im thinking a 11x12 or similar with a fan is gonna make for some COLD charge temps.. even without a fan.. HRM..
