I have, what I believe is an intermitted ground failure. Happened twice in the last year. The sled stumbles, gauges drop out momentarily, yellow light and red light come on, and I lose power to the power port. When it regains the power port does not come back and I lose the headlights.

Question, where is the main ground connection. I am told it is behind the oil tank taped up.

Has anyone had a similar issued

Cheers

I’d be tracing down the ground blocks and in the wiring harness and inspecting them, be surprised if it’s the main body ground. Also, make sure you’ve got proper pin fit where the ignition switch connector is, I’ve seen those make poor contact and cause strange issues.

Well you may well be on to something. After it shuddered and regained the power port fuse blew. I stopped and , foolishly shut it off while checking the trail map. When I went to restart it, it was dead, nothing, no click go fuel pump. I disconnected battery as I have a quick connect, and after it started right up. I will go out now to check the key switch.

4 or 5 ground blocks need cleaned and a healthy dose of dielectric grease
I am trying to do that but cannot figure out how to get them apart.
