Hello All.
While riding, I experienced what sounded and felt like I lost a cylinder around the same time my fuel gauge would intermittently go from full to empty and back to full. I parked it for a day and started it, revved it for a bit, and it seems to be fine, engine and gauge. I was assuming it was a grounding or connection issue, but can these two problems be related?

I did a wiggle test in the connection at the tank. No corrosion at the connection and moving it all around, guage read fine. Could it be a ground further down the line? Do you know if one of the grounding blocks include the fuel and one of the coils? Scratching my head if these are separate issues or together. Where did I go from here? Thanks!

When I my fuel gauge was sporadically switching between full and empty, it was due to a fault fuel sender. I was able to clean up the contacts but there was one spot in the middle of its path that always shorted out (ie. caused gauge to flash). It wasn't the electrical connector at the tank but the sending unit inside of the tank. With that said, when my Apex had the issue with the fuel sending unit, it ran perfectly fine; would just flash the fuel gauge level. See this post for more details regarding my fuel sender issue.
