Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
OK...another question! My 2005 Vector runs NGK CR8E plugs. Earlier this year my usual auto parts store was out of them and suggested Autolite's as a replacement. I declined and found the NGK's at another store.

So my question is: have you ran a different brand of plug and were they any good?

I am not encouraging running a different brand...just want to know "just in case".

Thanks! :sled1:

I have run the autolites in my apex after it fouled a plug up north, I didn't notice any difference but I did put in all new NGK's when I got home.

If it's fairly easy, give them a try but in my case (Phazers and the MP), changing plugs is an afternoon affair so I don't take any chances and use only the NGK's even though they're like $14/plug.

Some engines don't care which plug they use and others are picky. My '02 Trailblazer only likes the ACDelco plugs. Learned that on a forum ;)!
