Is it safe to say I will pay MSRP with a trad-in?

Seriously considering the SE, and I was told I would only get $2500 for my '03 RX-1 on a trade-in and pay MSRP. Then I was told 10,500 clean, which included 300 cash instead of the 600 for accessories. That was from one dealer I called. Is this what I can expect to find out there?

I have no experience dealing with dealers. I've never purchased a new sled. Can anyone in the WNY or Central NY area point me in the right direction please.

Doesn't seem like a good deal to me. You are in NY, I've already seen the SE listed for 9700 on a pre-order. I would look up the dealer locater on the yam site and call around near you. If you go in you can usually talk them down. If you have a good dealer that will take care of you when it hits the fan though, then it's not a bad thing if you spend a little more there.

This part is standard dealer practice. You can either have the full cash to purchase Yamaha items at retail price, or half the amount as cash. Pretty much the same procedure regardless of the dealer.
