is it worth the extra $ to go for the "SE"

flyinwrenchz, I hope you're not talking retail price, are you?

no not paying retail I'd be outta my mind and divorced at the same time. I just want to make sure I'm getting the extra moneys worth for paying 500 more. The dealer kinda has me because he's the only one within a couple hundred miles that has one available and he knows it so the way I see it he could maybe get even more if the right person comes along and really wants it I'm going to try to talk him down the extra hundred but dont think he'll do it

I'd just wait till December or at least a little closer to the season. You will be finding them on Ebay left and right just like the XP 800 X last season. Ill never order a new sled again after finding great deals early in the season. You can always find what you want if your patient

I was kinda thinking about waiting when I was going to buy the RTX but now that I want the SE I'm afraid If I wait I won't be able to get one I know of two right now and thats it I've done a lot of searching and made a bunch of phone calls as well

Then go for it man, it's what you want, and like you said, you might not find another so conveniently.

Post some pics when you get it too ! ;)!

I can only say buy it!!! I followed my dealer to a demo ride here in sweden this fall and had the oportunity to try it for a day and i loved it.
Not stiff but ate everything i threw at it.

i got the chance to ride the SE last april. i was riding an 08 40th nytro all season. i was blown away with the suspension on the SE. i would spend the $500.00 in a heartbeat! i put about 150 miles on that SE and when i got back on my 40th i was bummin'.

I have to say I'm really glad to hear this, sorry about the way you feel with yours now, but all or most of the early ride reports only talked about the XTX. There wasn't any real in depth articles about the S.E. and I was starting to wonder why. Max Sled said it was one of two best shock packages you could get this year but that was basically it. Nothing about how it rode. Thanks for your insite, ;)!

"Man I feel bad for my yard when I bring that thing home."
"No, no don't ride until it snows!"
These are the voices in my head that I have to deal with on a daily basis. :o|

All done guys thanks for the input bought the SE tonight. Can't wait for the snow to fly now. I'm not picking it up till second week in October do to the fact that I really don't need it before than and it'll just sit in the garage anyhow. For anyone wondering I paid only 300 more than the RTX so I think I did good :letsnow: :letsnow:

Over here in Sweden the SE is not a spring order sled.
Available all year, or untill they run out of them.
...???
I ordered the SE and I had to sign a contract no later than 15th of June. According to the information I have got, each Swedish dealer will get only the number of SE:s that have been ordered by "contracted" customers. If you did not sign a contract, you will not get the SE - unless you buy or take over somebody elses contract.
