hey, i have just decided to get a 2008 mtx, it was between the the 2008 xp 800r or a fx nytro mtx. the mtx won. i hope ot was a good decision. my question id i live in newfoundland, canada, we get a lot of snow here, about 16 feet anually. i like to get uot in the powder when the poeder is close to the trail. the second thing is i may have my wife on with me some of the time. the dealer said the mtx cant be ridden on a trail anytime and its definitly not good for 2 people, he said the suspension is too weak/soft. if this is true what other would be a good machine for me needs. and i dont like the touring machines, thanks

After some adjusting, my MTX has better trail manners than I had expected. Asd far as riding 2-up................she really has to love you alot . I'd say that ridding double is out of the question without some type of new, or seat-mod!

theres a jack seat bt industriesjack.com im still reading the suspension is too soft and will bottom out. my other option is to get the nytro rtxer and extend the track to a 136". that seems like a possibility, because i end up with a good suspension, and a little longer track. what do you think?

I live on the rock also, and just purchased a fx nytro mtx also. If you do most of your riding on trail or close to the trail and want a sled that you can take your wife as well, the mtx may not be the best choice for you. Just my opinion.
That being said the mtx performed better on the trail than I expected.
