No that little cooler will be moved down to the side by the oil tank. Its a cooler that cools the fluid after the turbo. Beleive it or not that cooler gets very hot very quick, so that should help keep coolant down a bit, or in my opinion stop sending boiling fluid back into engine. We will see how it works out.

Thats a nice looking sled.

Your going to like the meth injection!
let us know what see pulls on the dyno

Thanks guys, will be nice to get on the dyno with the laptop hooked to the rb3 and tune in real time while making some pulls. Dave this rb3 is what we needed more than anything. Reply to blue shadow, I will be running pump fuel with the meth.

That thing is freaking awesome! I love the hindles, how did you ever find the space to fit TWO of themin there and come out like that. I freaking love it! Nice job! That dyno is going too probably set a record for 20psi, you got a lot of efficencies in the system..wow! I'm drooling..

Guys we are going to video tape it running tomorow morn and put it up here on T.Y. for everyone to here. It sounds really nice sorta like a Hyabusa deep and throaty throttle response is sick Jim just like you said it would be. Man I learned alot about turbos in a short time. Guys 2560 is to small on the exhaust to run effeciently on these engines. Found out the hard way. 2871 is very responsive with the RB3 and 4 degrees of advance from idle to 5500 rpm

Man, I out at my cabin for a day and when back, what do I see, crazy turbo system you've built NFS2, great work, looking forward to see what she can do on the dyno :-)

Yes I will.

My work will be covered in my thread - TY 4 Stroke - rxrider's Turbo Garage - Upgrading my RX-1 turbo

I think I need a new intercooler from Dave @ PL, the MCX is too small and restrictive. I have got pricing on turbo and other parts needed from Dave, will order as soon as I get your packet in house. I got all pumped up by seeing your work in progress, I can't wait to start the build on my sled :-)

So have you dynoed that bad boy yet??

I'm really interested in how that kit works for you.

Not yet we re not quite ready and cant get on Dyno booked for the next 2 weeks solid. Plus larger injectors are in the air with new mapping I hope Dave . No more need for crappy rising rate regulators 1-1 is better for us now. Just from run time in the shop I can tell its way more responsive starts and runs cleaner .2560 is way to small guys I cant say it loud enough. O.S.P. Dave Marshall and Powder Lites Dave were all right on the money saying that the small turbo hurts performance. Here is one guys if a general rule of 1lb of boost yeilds 10 h.p. on a standard turbo kit what happens when the intercooler is better the turbo is better and exiting exhaust is better? Is it possible then that we could see H.P. #s start climbing per lb of boost. Say @ 12lbs is it possiblle to make 280 or 290 h.p. compared to the 260 that we normally see advertised by the kit builders. One other thing if you run a really tight exhaust housing like a 2560 there is quite a restriction on the exhaust hurting performance to the point boost has to overcome theback pressure where as less restriction flows out giving cleaner snappier throttle response letting engine get going then boosting into rpms. So far my engine starts runs and revs better with the new 2871 verses the 2560 that was on it. But my info is tainted due to the fact I have changed and replaced so many components of the system. Bottom line I feel that maybe the larger turbos may work better for the average trail guys than one would suspect.
