took me about a total of 3-4 hrs but better than buying a $400-$500 new seat.

Did you put the foam ontop? You did a much nicer job than mine on the transition to the back hump.
Lets us know how you like it on the trail when you get a chance to ride it.

Looks good! Hope you used a high-quality foam, and not the stuff from JoAnn Fabrics. Mine was alright for about 200 miles, then it started to flatten. But you had a better starting point to work with, as that's basically what Yamaha did for the '05's. It looks better to.

Personally, I like the Nytro seat with the trunk as it's more functional than my stuffed seat. Holds up better too.
 
unfortunately i did use joann's hi density foam.....if it doesn't last i will get a nytro seat, maybe with 4" it'll be ok, at least 'til next year.
