Just another clutch kit thread...

Bought an old rental sled Nytro mountain last week with 15k miles on it. Clutch rattled so bad I couldn't tell if rod was blown. Put in a new set of weights and it sounds as quiet as my Viper
Out of curiosity, why did you get a nytro when you have a couple vipers? I thought I remember from your older posts that you sold off a nytro?

Seems like you could make up some plastic spacers or something to take up the extra space if that was the case.

I guess that's where Schmidt Bros' shims comes into the picture? :)

Friend needed to upgrade his old 90 something Polaris and didn't have much money to spend. We made one out of the two I bought, now need to decide if I want to fix other one or sell for the engine.

It is the slop in the weight and weight pin. Back when I played with fixing this I tired several fixes but all were temporary. Please note above that that 15k Nytro was HAMMERING and replacing ONLY the weights and the pins they ride on made it as quiet as my 500 mile Viper. That is why the o-ring, spacer, etc on each side of weight work for a while
