Isn't it an awesome feeling when you finally get your sled dialed in and it's doing that you wantI ordered the additional tungsten weights for the primary cams from Ulmer today. Ahead of getting them I decided to play around with the shims on the cams some more. I now have them loaded with toe = 4 & 4; mid = 0 & 0; Tip = 4 & 1-tungsten weight.
WOW!!!! whoever said you cant lift the skis off the ground on a Viper is WRONG!!! This thing lifts the skis for about 20-30 ft off the line and then pulls like a freight train down low and all the way through mid-range. Back off and nail the throttle and it jumps forward. Engagement is right at 3000 rpm. I am now running about 13 mph faster at top end and maxing out at about 8900 - 9000 rpm hitting the rev limiter only when I crest a bump or get into the powder. It needs a little more weight at the toe so I think the tungsten weight will do it and get this thing down to 8700 - 8800 rpm max without hitting the limiter. I am now running right at about 98-100 mph.
I had Ulmer machine my secondary for an 8DN belt and had the sled flashed with last years update. I also have studs down the middle of the track, 2 per lug and Stingray air box mod. I am pretty sure I am now going to be able to keep up if not get ahead of my two buddies with their Polaris 800's. I was only a sled length behind them last weekend after about a 1000 ft.

Absolutely. I am at work now and can't wait to get back on it as soon as I get home. It's the same feeling I used to get when I was excited for something as a kid.
