Hi guys,
New to this site and new to Yamaha. Also, I haven't had a sled in about 30 years. They certainly have changed a little.
So I have this new to me sled and it's pretty much new to this world. It has 600KM on it and has been sitting for over 2 years. Wondering what you guys suggest I need to do before I get this rolling for the winter. It's never been back to the dealer since it was purchased.
First priority is a new battery. The existing one appears to be done. Tried charging it from the 2 leads I found under the cover and the charger says it can't charge. 2nd will be oil / filter. What about all the other fluids? Should I change everything to be safe?
Looking for your opinions. Thanks!

Welcome to the site and Yamaha.
Did you get a manual with your Venture? If so, all the req'd maintenance should be listed there. The oil/filter would definitely be a priority as they have to be changed early after break-in. As for the other fluids - I don't really think so but where it hasn't been used much I'm not sure. I'm thinking the coolant and chain oil should be good and regrease in all the fittings. Tell the dealer you need the same things checked and adjusted as they would for a sled after break-in.
Did you get a good deal?
all the best and let us know,
