just got first yamaha

yesterday i just got an 03 rx-1. the guy i bought it off of put an 02 zr 900 136" rear set up on it, a bender clutch kit, precision skis, air filters with evac and jetting, and a new seat. has 1800 miles. got for $3600. hopefully i got a good deal and a good sled. my friends have vipers and srxs with clutch kits and they pulled away from my zrt 600. i am hoping the roles have reversed. let me know what you guys think about the cat rear suspension and how i will do against the other yamahas. thanks matt

should be able to handle the vipers,the srx is where im worried,they pull strong and are hard to beat on the lakes,in stock form

That skid will transfer good for you. Should like it.

Your going to enjoy the power, the sound of that rx1. Be sure to check the oil on that '03. They were know to have rings that wouldnt seat. So they used oil.

That sounds like a great deal to me. You will smoke the vipers if they only have clutch kits but piped they run pretty strong. also with the ecp and clucthing you will run right with those srx. you will love the cat skid in there.

i was riding a zrt 600 triple with a rip saw, black cat pipes and a clutch kit. the thing was right with the vipers and srx, but it kicked my #*$&@ as far as the ride. the cat did not handle real good, hopefully the rx-1 will handle better

interesting, cat rear end, if you have snow near you let me know how that rides on the trail, also what sled did you have prior to this one.
