Wow great job

you can get float bushings for your float from yamaha..... i just put a float centre shock in my nytro xtx and found that some parts left over from a parts gamble earlier will fit. they are the upper fornt bushings for fox float shock and will accecpt stock steel insert, and could also be easily filed down a bit if required. i have part # somewhere if you want.

VERY COOL BUILD......would love to have one like that but wife would kill me!!!

You know I haven't spent much. I powder coat most of the smaller pieces. All the suspension stuff I bought used. So I paid 800 for the sport (track and suspension was wrecked). It came with the rtx nytro rear suspension. Prob got 1500 into it with powder coating the frame. Just have to find the right deal.

Do you have the skid in the sled now? Need to see some pics!

Looking good. It's funny how a 121 can turn that sled into a long track. Your kids must be getting excited to see it coming together. ;)!

Just about complete....added hydraulic brake system from a nytro.....cr racing 174 tunnel extension cut down width wise , along with the bumper

Looks good. ;)! The brake is great idea. My son has hard time with the mechanical brake on his Sport ... He's always needed a little more stopping power.

This summer I'm hoping to start a build on his Sport. I want do something similar to your long track build, but have been kicking around the idea of fabbing a rear skid that is more like that of the Polaris rush. The tube chassis of the scoot and sport are already set up in a similar way, so it might not be too much work (famous last words).

If I am going to do it, I'd really like to up the power of the sled. My son's been riding his Sport for a few seasons and I'm confident he's ready for it. I've been looking for engine for a looooong time. I want to keep the sled as light as I can, and so far haven't found a motor that makes the power I'm looking for in a weight range that works for me. About the only engines that come close are those used for kart racing. They have really good power to weight, but typically don't have a PTO large enough to accept CVT clutching and they are super expensive (See: Engines 4 Racing).

I don't want to pull the trigger on any of the build until I am relatively sure it would work, and in the meantime my son is not getting any younger. Your thread has been inspiring me to get going. Again, great job on the build. Be sure to post a pic or two of the kids riding it when it's done!
