X3 it has a brain! He has a lot of thought into making the valve close quickly and forcefully. Some things arent as simple as they would seem.$329 its on his website. Worth every penny. I think Bill has a oil prime feature, a lithium battery program if you have a lithium battery and a couple of other features. Its just not a tether.

So just getting back at the kill switch plan. So when the switch is normally closed that means if I were to remove it and just connect the two wires together that should do it?
Correct.

No less stuff to break. this was one of our XC sleds. No more ignition switch the front red button starts the sled as well.

When you use the handle bar kill switch to shut the sled down but still leave the key in the "on" position, there is a power relay in the sled that's still energized. The energized relay is not powering up anything with the kill switch down, but the coil inside the relay is being energized which creates a 20 milliamp draw and can run the battery dead overnight.
You can still use the handle bar kill switch for short periods of time, however it's best to shut the sled down with the key as this will also cut the voltage to the power relay as well. Most guys (myself included) will get in the habit of just using the key and not even use the handle bar kill switch.

Correct it is wrongly called a kill switch it should be a stop switch! and yes your battery will draw down which is what I think is happening to a lot of guys having starting issues the battery drops a few amps and they will never start. My 14 and 15 have never had a start issue and I have never used the kill switch.
