Kimpex Arrow carbide wear

I've been using my Kimpex Arrows for 2 years now and still love them for trail riding. Last weekend, I began to notice that I wasn't able to steer nearly as well as I used to. Needless to say, I knew I needed new runners. Sure enough, one pair were totally worn...no carbides left at all. The other pair of runners still had the carbides in them, but were almost flattened.

Now to the part that puzzles me...in all I've read regarding dual keel/runner skis, it is the inside runners that apparently take the most abuse and weight of the sled in the turns. However, on my sled it seems that it was the outer runners that took the most abuse, as the outside runners were missing all of the carbides and extremely worn.

I installed 2 new pairs of Studboy Shaper bars on the skis and all 4 runners are touching the ground, mind you I didn't check with me sitting on the sled, nor did I check whether the outside runner raises off the ground on the outside ski when I turn the handlebars.

I was wondering if anyone else using the Arrow ski is experiencing the same kind of carbide wear (more on outside runners versus inside) and it's not just me. Have a look, anyone else notice this same pattern? It just seems to go against conventional wisdom.

I took mine off to replace this summer and never kept track of which was inside or out to bad. But I've posted a couple of pictures that show the wear of all the carbides and they appear fairly even across all 4. I know it's not what your looking for but maybe later this year my current carbides will show more wear and I'll post them up for you. Riding a FX Nytro just for your info as well

No problem here too.

Check for loose pivot arm bushing it could affect ski alignment in corner.

ROCKRTX, when you say pivot arm, do you mean the ones in the real suspension? or part of the steering assembly?

Front spindle or ski column the shaft were the ski bolt
