Here is the problem i am currently having. I turbo'ed my RX1 towards the end of the sledding season last year, but it had the stock track on it with no studs. I dont think i need to say anymore about that :ORC So far this year(as far as traction goes) i have bought a good Camoplast trail track and have installed 192 studs in it. My problem is that i am planning on doing a few ice runs this year and instead of trying to install long picks in the trail track, i'd rather have a dedicated ice track. Money is getting tight though and spending 900+ on a ice setep is not fitting into the holiday season. I mentioned the Kimpex because a local Yamaha dealer has a Kimpex "Speedster" track w/192 picks installed for sale for 300 bucks on it(been used once). Now i know Kimpex does not have the greatest history from what i hear, but do you guys think that it would at least last for a few runs? I'm more intrested in roll-on acceration, rather then the first 500 feet.

If you're only running a few times, why not stick with the trail track. 192 is plenty of studs to hook up with and it doesn't seem to make sence to change tracks for a few radar runs. JMO.

Heh, i wish i could think of it that way man. It's just hard for me to hit the ice knowing that there is 8mph or so left in the sled from a track change. With that aside, i can get this Kimpex for 300 bucks...if you guys think it will at least last the season i'm going to call him and get it.
I think it would probably be fine, heck, we've used those old yokohama tracks for chisel tracks and they've been alright, just swap em in for a few weekends a year and hasn't been a problem.
Just keep an eye on it, they tend to tear stuff up when they come apart.
