knocking sound????

Just got the sled started for the winter coming and all went well, then next day I changed the exhaust,airbox and added a pc3 started it back up and heard a knocking sound coming from the engine compartment. I couldnt found where it was coming from ( could be the clutch?)but when I reved the motor it too increased the taping in time with the motor. Now it's got oil so it's not that.
Now once I moved the sled a few feet it stopped.
Any one had this happen?I freaked out thinking I had blown the motor.

Great to hear someone is starting their season. Sorry I do not have the expertise to answer your question but will bump it up so maybe those who do will notice it.

Alot less traffic on the site this time of year. Hope you get some help

Exhaust leak near the motor ! When it heat up, leak is sealing. Probably Broken flange or donut.

listen when it running between motor and fuel tank, sound should come from there.

Not exhaust as i just put in new doughnuts the day before, also it was coming more from the front of the motor not under the sled.
I'm thinking now its got to be the clutch as it hasn't happened again since I moved it.

Its could have been the flange where the flex pipe bolt on the motor. Sometime the little weld that hold the flange on the flexpipe break. Mine did that last spring. Sled was knocking like a Old 3.1 V6 in a Pontiac 6000
