Sorry I could not resist. HeHe
I wear the black version of these boots and have done so for the last 3 seasons. You definitely won't get wet feet from water soaking in... but you might have issues if your feet sweat a lot.
I definitely recommend these boots. They were great for me in the Army and they are great for me now on a sled.

If you look down at your left foot while riding ,regardless wether its on groomed trails or powder you can actually see water (not snow) coming from both the upper plastic vents & the lower foot hold vent, i plugged my lower vents & it slowed it down some but my foot still gets wet

Sled Solutions said:Vent in plastic YES
Vent about feet MAYBE
Seeping from under seat/plastic NO
Countour of side panels NO
If that is the case, then we need to do a few tests to close up the vent, and add additional vents else where. Skyboz and I have been discussing adding a few SLP vents and reducing the number of vents in the panel.

That could be the trick. Also, what are the chances of the snow or snowdust coming up through the holes in the footwells, hitting the warm metal, clothing, and boots, melting, and getting everything wet?!?!?!? Just a suggestion!

I think you are absolutly right!! Now after getting back to my sled and actually getting to see it again.
With all the plastic off I reinstalled the topcowling and windshield and can clearly see what is going on.
I think IF we were to replace the Yamaha logo on this piece with vents it would allow the heat to excape. Futhermore any vents in the black plastic that the speedo is mounted to would be a waste because these vents would be cool air before the radiator. Someone mentioned the battery is in the way and YES it is for sure! Right now 80% of the HOT air has to pass out the left louvers!!

I my RTX water is being blown out the vents . At no time during the day was my pants warm from hot air . The problem is there are so many places that water from the front heat exchanger and snow dust can enter the belly pan . I bought some of that filter skin material and covered the vents . That stuff is suppose to let the air through and not let water and snow get through . I will see if this helps this weekend .

This is EXACTLY what Lucky7 and I talked about just a couple of days ago!!!! It definitely can't hurt it!! 08NitroRTX, are you going to try it??
Yes!
Along with removing the rubber from around the steering stem.
Anything we can do to allow air to excape to other areas than the left foot area will help! Who knows this may help some that feel it's too cold of a ride too. (not me, with the tall sheild, side defectors, and good gear I haven't be even a little bit cold!

Ha! That is funny. I think there is a combination of things going on. The fact that they thought it was a benefit, but now my be the cause for the dredded wet boot, is pretty funny.

I knew I've seen Yammy touting how this was supposed to help keep riders warm!
Does anybody know if we could find something like the vents found on th Doo 1000's? If I can find a pic. I'll post. They have one that faces forward on one side, and rearward on the other.

Today I was riding and noticed my left foot getting wet (didn't wear my Bunny boots) so I started paying more attention to the foot wells. When riding along, you can feel more warm air coming out the left side. You can feel a greater quantity of hot air coming out of the foot rest on the left side. This confirms what I've seen with the melted snow on my running boards.
I didn't have soft powder snow to swirl up and land on the running boards so I drug my left foot in the snow for a second and then watched the snow on top of my boot melt as I rode along. In my mind, this is the reason why your foot gets wet. If the hot air was directed out to the side I think the problem would be solved.
