I am looking for a good left handed throttle. I want something that is going to work well for just trail riding. Not hard trail riding, but just easy cruising down the trail. Does anyone know of a company that makes a good one that will work on the RX-1?

I picked up a goldfinger at a local shop. I like it and it workes very nice. Only $79.00. Very easy to install. I can get the number if you want. PM me.
A friend has one of these. Low priced, works great, and easy install.
I have two on order.

I went with Lefty's DTC left hand throttle. It cost alot more then others ($225 plus S&H) but the fit and finish after the install looks stock if you follow thier instructions that are included. On a side note though, it might not be a great idea to use a left handed throttle for trail cruising. They are designed for mountain riding to make sidehilling easier. I used mine for loading the sled one time and when I went to grab the brake applied more throttle also hitting the front of the pickup box

Spray, have you had a chance to install the sno-bunje left handed throttle yet? I worked on mine last night and found that the new lever just fits on the left side iff you move the brake inboard and rotate everything just right.
It looks like the existing throttle on the right needs to be modified where the thumb heater wire clip is, and the throttle block itself needs to be notched to allow clearance.
I did not have a chance to work on this because I dropped the little arm that the new cable attaches to in the engine compartment and have not found it yet.
Let me know if anyone has had success mounting this thing.

I haven't gotten mine yet
A friend was picking up a bunch of them and I haven't seen him yet. Hmmmm...... Maybe he REALLY liked them.

Does the Gold Finger have a lever extension that attaches to the front of the thumb throttle? Do you have to modify the thumb lever or throttle block to attach it? Does it interfere with the thumb warmer wire?

Ski-bum.
1. Yes.
2. No.
3. No.
This was extremely easy to install. The fit is a little snug and you have to move the brake lever up a little, but nothing too extreme. All-in-all, a very easy install and looks good. I will try to take a picture of it and post.

Thanks black sabbath. I would appreciate a pic if you get a chance. I am not excited about taking the dremmel tool to my throttle lever and block to mount the sno-bunje throttle.

I got it at a local motorcycle and snowmobile shop for either $69.95 or $79.95. I bought it last year and forgot how much it cost. I can get you the 800 number if you want. Let me know.

Hi guys,
Would greatly appreciate the 800 number to order if you can find it. Otherwise, is there a web site for them? Sounds a bit easier to install than the one skibum has tried. Hope to order and install in the next month or so.
Thanks!
