Let's see what everyone is working on away from the keyboard...

Yup, they do. This engine is also MDS (Multiple Displacement System) and shuts of cyls 1,4,6,7 when there is no load on engine. I replaced all lifters, new cam, bolts, gaskets etc. and came in somewhere just south of $2K. I told the service advisor at my dealership he could stop adding when his quote went past $8k...

This has been a work in progress for the last couple years and is finally up and running.

2 years ago I bought this sled off the original owner. Turns out my grandpa sold it new to him back in 1974, the year after we started selling Yamaha. 1974 Yamaha GP433F. Been sitting for at least 20 years but it was definitely something to work with. Only 1250 miles, dusty, but overall very good condition.

Drained the oil tank, replaced all the fuel and oil lines, replaced some missing hardware, and patched the seam on the gas tank.

The outside of the carb looked extremely clean, made me think someone had cleaned it before putting it in storage. I decided to try and start it without taking it all apart. Took a little coaxing but after a few pull it was up and running. And it runs pretty damn good for sitting for 20+ years! Had it running a few times now. Needs a chain case cover as part of it is plastic and its cracked. Hit the throttle a couple times and the track drive sprocket shattered. Have a new aftermarket one on the way.

Looking forward to doing some vintage rides. Being this sled is 20 years older than me, I am coming to appreciate how far the sport has come over the years!

Really nice! Brings back memories of my 'advanced' 73 Skiroule RTX 447! Lol! Engine up front was a big deal, except for cat..they had them there already.

I picked this up this spring. It didn't run for #*$&@.
After some investigating I found this

New intake gaskets and away I went.
Unfortunately, I was the only one in my Family that liked it, so down the road it went

Harvest still going strong! We are starting in our 7th straight week.

My son is on fall break from school, so I turned him loose to cut soybeans.

Just finishing up building our first Shouse. Started Labor Day 2017. Haven’t had a lot of time for Hunting and Fishing, boating and very few snowmobile trips. At the end of each day I like to unwind with adult beverage and some TY. Will be making up for lost time this season.

Just spent a week in the bush in southern Iowa bow hunting. Got to see an Albino fawn and passed on a few mature bucks.

Thanks. There is 3 of us that hunt about 700 acres with stands all over for wind. When we shoot a buck the next one has to be bigger or a management buck. It’s taken me along time to learn discipline but I can film with my phone and that gives me great satisfaction and to share what’s out there. Yes we love the new home. Thank you

lol i just finished putting those on the house today. still have to get frosty up.
