Let's talk 4 stroke oil?

0W-40 Mobile1 full synthetic European car formula that has added zinc in it. $8 to $9 per quart.

0-40 Yamaha. You can save money but, you cant buy better.

You can buy the Manf oil who makes it for Yamaha and skip the middle man.

What's the zinc do?
helps to coat all bearing surfaces which helps under extreme load. Our 4-stroke motors turn a lot more RPM that the average car or truck and place more load on main bearings and the valve train. The zinc acts as a second protective film on all these surfaces. However the oil industry dropped the level of recommended zinc from 0.15 to 0.08 because they found zinc can in some cases cause catalytic converter issues. I have run this oil for the entire 8600 mile life of my Nytro without problems and will do so with my new Viper as well.

Read a article in snow tech a few years back they said Tundra oils makes yamalube, not sure if they still do

Torco may still do Canada, but Citgo makes the US sold oil. Mystik (Citgo Performance) 0W-40 Snow Synthetic exceeds the yamaha requested specs. For under $5 a quart you get better oil than yamaha.

As many guys have mentioned... you are being over charged . I have a suggestion , Not in any way promoting Amsoil just using it as a example... You can get on there web and join for 20 bucks and be a "preferred customer" and purchase there high quality products at a great savings... I use there OW-40 in my apex for 8.90 per quart and have been using there oils in most everything I own. 25,000 miles on my apex! and its runs like the day I bought it....the 20 bucks is a small investment for a high quality product that if you read up on will save you money in the long run especially in your cars and trucks! and there IS other good choices, This oil thing can be widely opinionated so Iam just trying to help.
