This was silly being out on my own before even the groomer had began doing its work

That is one of the reasons I keep a ratchet strap on my sled. Not only does it make a great adjustable length tow rope (for all those Ski-Doo Doo, Polar-bust, and Arctic Crap sleds), it also is great for getting unstuck. Wrap it around the bumper and a tree and start ratcheting, once you get some really good tension on the line the sled will drive itself right out.
Had to do it a few times, these RX-1's don't float in the deep stuff...

LOL The popup was funny, To much money to burn it... been there done that, wish I could have collected some insurance money sometimes. How did you end up getting it out? My buddy put his F8 in a pond a few years ago and it took about 4 guys on each ski with tow ropes and my sled pulling to get it out. Looked very similar to how yours was.

My buddy carries a come along and a strap just for those occassions. Kinda bulky but works like a top.
Too bulky for me but he got a GTX with a big a$$ box on the back.

I called my wife to come from work and drive to where the trailer was parked with the phazer also in it. She then rode out 5 miles to rescue me. Thats all i can say is thanks cant see many women doing that. All of our recovery gear straps ,ropes etc are in the saddlebags of her sled, i certainly dont need any more weight

Nice that works. Where we ride in NY on Tug Hill now adays there enough people up there that you dont sit very long without someone passing you. We had about 8 guys stop and help only way we could have gotten it out short of a groomer. There is nothing worse though then that time you were sitting there waiting for her to show up I bet...

I am surprised that no ones commented on the white windshield?

Thoughts of that exact same thing plague me whenever I ride alone...it hasn't happened yet though! Good thing you had cell reception...gets a little dicey up in northern WI or the UP where we do a lot of our riding (!)

An older guy I know got stuck in a hole last year. He was in the very same situation as you were in the video. To get out, all he did was use a small piece of rope, tied one end securely to a small tree in front of the sled and tied the other end to the front of the track (through a track window), making sure there is no slack between the track and the tree. Then he just gave it a little throttle and it pulled itself out. Great idea.
Sounds so simple but I know I would never have thought of it.
