My Rage has been making a loud thumping/snapping noise going in and out of bumps. A friend sugusted that the Limiter Straps are snapping tight. I'm new to the high tech supensions.
Has anyone had the same issue? How can I fix it?

I heard the same thing on a ride this last Sun. It was a short section of extremely tall and close together whoop-t-doops. The limiter straps snapping tight by the suspension dropping all the way down before your track hits the snow makes sense. It's the only time I've been in those conditions with this sled, and its the only time I've heard that noise.

I think your hearing the transfer rods not the limiter strap.

It is normal. As Toy-r-us said it is your transfer rods.

I've got the Rage and I get the same noise going slow through large bumps. It's the transfer rods. I don't know if it's ok but it's normal. Make sure to keep them greased!

My brother has a Rage and had the same problem. It talked to his dealer and him said that few people with the Rage model had the same complaint. The dealer found out that is the front suspension shock which act only on compression not on rebound. He replaced it on the warranty and since then nobody had this issue. Look at it, I don't guaranty that is your problem but it cost nothing to ask your dealer to look at it.

It's going to the dealer on Thursday. He said that my supension needs to be adjusted. I guess we'll try that first. Thanks!

I get a noise like that on my RS Venture when the ice builds up around the exhaust .It gets loose in there and rattles . Don't know if that is the same or not .

Finally rode my Rager this weekend. The dealer stiffened my rear supension by three clicks. He also said it's normal to hear the straps. The supension adjustment seemed to help some of the limiter strap noise. I heard it probably on 6-7 times in 600 miles. My Rager rides like dream now!

replace the plastic ones with rubber on the tranfer rods ,this will cure the problem.
