limter strap/track angle

This is a 2 part question: If I were to shorten the limter strap, would that in theory decrease the angle of attck of the track a little bit, besides putting more pressure on the front end skis.

Part 2: Is that clanking noise from the skid coming from the transfer rod coupling the suspension. It is very annoyong on the small chatter bumps.

longer is less weight on front and more track on ground for traction.

Which is faster shorten it or make it longer and I'm talking wide open top end runs.

shorten it, it doesn't let as much track on the ground-less friction.

I sucked mine up last year when I saw people complaining of slide wear, and the shock eye/track clearance problems.

I had little slide wear, even though I rode in horrible lubricating conditions.
My shock eye still wore a little bit.

what is the stock setting of the limiter strap for the ER ?
