Glad to hear somebody call their fx nytro a good jump sled.
I have an 06 nytro and wonder how it compares to the fx nytro for jumping. My 06 nytro is great for fast cross-country running but can be scary in the air. I find the 06 hard to correct in the air, side to side. Its also real easy to get crossed up coming off natural jumps. Its very sensitive to throttle inputs coming off jumps and almost impossible to correct once it goes wrong. The sled seems to have a very narrow window where it will jump good. Stay smooth and it will fly all day but one little mistake and it turns into a rock.
I don't know if you've ridden an 06 nytro or a phazer but if you have how does your fx compare? Thanks.

Well, I don't think the 06 Nytro or the Phazer can compare to the Nytro when it comes to jumping. I put some miles on the 06 (it had Öhlins front shocks) and I had a 07 Phazer last year, but the Nytro is WAAAAAAY better when it comes to jumping. The Phazer was the worst of them... Apex RTX isn't to bad either, but as a jump sled, Nytro is DEFINATLY Yamaha's best jump sled to date...Imo

HAHAHA - pigs that can fly is made famous by Pink Floyd in the early 1970's, I've been to two Pink Floyd conserts and seen them pigs fly.
obr - I bet you can fly just at high as them Pink Floyd pigs LOL.
Of course I will bring my camera when you come over to ride in my backyard. Should I bring my video camera as well? We could be in for some epic jump pics and vids done by TY-members? I haven't been jumping for ages so I better ask Sneip1 where to go for those big air jumps

I might have to wait to change out my rear suspension until we ride if your bringing the video camera...I'm in for some jumping with the 121'...just get Sneipen to show us some of his secret spots...hell...whatcha doing next weekend (the weekend before your coming over to help me with the suspension)? If your riding that weekend, I might just bring the Nytro over and we'll find a good spot? It's too good to jump with the 121 to change it to a 144 if we're doing some jumping...Not much of a climber though...

Pink Floyd are the old dinosaur of progressive rock formed back in the mid 1960s, last world tour was in 1994 with the release of their last album "Division Bell". I'm a retired musician so to me they were part of my education becoming a musician. They belong in the Hall of Fame of Music.
