Snowmobile
2014 Viper LTX SE
4600km - 2014
Just thought I would post. I just got back from a 7 day snowmobile trip doing 335km or 208 miles on average each day. I ride a 2014 Viper LTX Se. Our total distance was 2350km or 1460 miles. We rode in -34C or -29F. The Viper ran perfect. It started every morning with ease. The handling and ride was perfect. No aches and pains to report. Fuel mileage was great. I was running with a couple of Polaris 800's. 800 etec's , 600 etec and a turbo cat. My mileage was equal to that of the 600 etec, but I never had to add oil :-). All of the sleds blew a belt except the viper and the brand new 800 Pro S. This Viper is the real deal! I still think a turbo would make it the perfect sled!

They are a great sled now that we are in year 2 and getting the bugs worked out and your right the turbo makes it a wild child.

I had a 400 mile weekend on my 2015 LTX. No problems, ran great. It has about 1100 miles on it now, and I've only had one issue... which happened because my heated shield shorted out. I have to say I haven't had the gas mileage you refer to. My buddy is on a 600 ETec, and he used about 1/3 less than me. When I pumped 5.5 gallons, he pumped about 3.5. Same distance, same speed, same conditions.

And, while I felt a little beat at the end of the 200 mile day, the sled was quite comfortable. I was tired from the long ride, and we rode a 140 mile twisty river, not because the sled was hard to ride. I am very happy with the sled at this point!

Same here, I rode my sled hard this weekend and I am liking it better every time I get on it. I think its a combination of getting it dialed in and becoming more comfortable as a rider.
