just somthing every one might want to look at on the front stearing arms.my right front ski stopped stearing one day in a parking lot.lucky it wasnt going down a trail at 90 plus! i dont know how but the splined stearing shaft above the ski got buy the bolt that holds it in place.i loosened up the allen bolt and nut(it wasnt real loose)the shaft moved back up,i tightened the bolt and nut and it was fine.when i got home i took it apart to inspect every thing and could only find a burr on one of the splines.i loosened the other side because it had some up and down play, tightened it back up most of the play is now gone.went out last weekend all was good, especially passing my buddies f7 on top end time after time :twisted:eek:h my sled is a 03 with 4800 miles.

hey snappy, I noticed the other day that my front end seemed different. The spline shaft inside the housing was flopping around. Is this the place you are talking about? I could hear them hitting on the trail. Have not checked yet for a fix, or did you have one? Honk

As I was getting my sled off my trailer after a 2 hour ride, I noticed that my left ski was just hanging. After a closer look I found that the peice that attaches my steering linkage to the spindle had broken at the ball joint!!! So we loaded everybody back up and visited my favorite dealer who didn't have one in stock so he pulled one off one of his spare sleds and gave it to me for half price. I'm lucky to have such a good dealer right in my home town!!
