seating options
You can post a wnted add in the classifieds, you can go to M&M motorsports and buy a new flat top high rise for 550.00 or a Mnt. Mod for 750.00 or a boss seat for about the same price. You can also go to the classified section on Snowest forum to look for a use seat there. I personally have a CR Racing Boss version I'm looking to trade for a flat top if you know anyone that wants to trade, or work out a deal to trade for mine maybe? It has the Nitrous pouch on the back and is designed for rear mount turbo or stock exhaust. Good luck!

First season I rode my sled, my knees ached after each day's ride and I was ready to sell the sled back then. Installing a Mountain Mod seat on my sled was the best mod I have done and I no longer suffer knee pain. Yes, it will make it more comfortable due to the added height.

I can feel the knee pain Grimm. I rode my rx-1 the other day, and WOW it sucked real bad compared to my Apex. Maybe I'm getten old? Although the apex is to low also! How much taller is the m-ms seat, than the stock apex seat? Did you then add taller bars too? How is it in sit down, Vs stand -up? Thanks for any info on this! Honk

seat questions
the Mnt. Mod is the same as the Boss full size with the nitrous pouch just a little different pouch arrangement, I've had both and compared them side y side, (The newer 07'-08' Boss seats are actually lighter then the Mnt. Mod and cheaper with equal quality)
They are narrower up near the tank and 2" higher then stock. I have the Mnt. Apex riser and a 2.5" Rox riser and it's perfect for me, I'm 5'-7", (pretty short..LOL)
The height increase and the narrower width is a MUST for a Mnt. sled, the top of the seat has a gripper type leather and this is invaluable on those deep powder days! It seems like a lot to pay for a seat but the quality and comfort you feel all day long is well worth it in the end!

I also did add handlebar risers, Rox pivoting 2 inch. Anymore, and you'd probably have to extend the cables. It made the transition from sitting and standing a lot easier too.
Here's a link to a couple of pics on my sled:

Hey GRIMM,how did the mountain mod seat fit on to your vector, did it use the mounting tabs on the heat shield to support the back of the seat like stock? My brothers 06 NYTRO is a real pain because the tabs on the heat shield are split and this cause the seat to move out from under the front of the tank and cut the seat.A new heat shield is $230+ CDN.Does the MM seat for a APEX work?

The seat fit well and did use the stock mounting tabs on the heat shield, no problem.
This seat is designed for the Apex line as well.

mounting set up
The mounting option for the MNT> Mod seat compared to the boss is what GRIMMis describing. The mounting tabs can be used and on the BOSS equivalent seat there are none but it weighs less too.
