I currently have a 2009 Vector GT and have a chance to upgrade to a 2010 Vector LTX. Only concern is the weight and longer track. Obviously Yamahas are already on the heavy side and worried the longer track model would be even heavier. When I look up Yamahas specs for dry weight they just say N/A. Buddies all ride Ski Doos are I don't want something I'm not comfortable with as I need to keep up in the twisties.

The extra power & ride quality would offset any weight penalty. And better deep snow capabilty.

I love long tracks and dont think theres many Michigan trails that are that tight to notice. I had the same thought before i purchased my Attak. Ill never go back to the short bus track...lol

Back in '05 I had my heart set on a Vector but got talked in to a Rage (Vector LTX) for same price. Long story short it isn't noticeably heavier and I have no problems running with my brother's Viper on the trails (I can actually out pace him when we get off into the deeper stuff).

Go for the 136" LTX. Once you spend some time on a 136" you wont want to go back to a 121". I ride 70% trails and love the 136" ride on trail and the extra float off trail. G.B.

Yea go for it,
You will never look back , stop reading the specks you are just beating yourself up, Once you get it set up that thing will fly through the twisty stuff you are worried about. Here is why... TRACTION, TORQUE & BRIDGING THE STUDER BUMPS.
RIDE ON !!!

- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
yea I bought one last January. I got it for the wife. I have a Attack and noticed the handleing difference between her Vmax short track and mine so I bit the bullet. I am amazed at the power still and it gets 20 mpg were I only get 15. Mine is smoother because of the extra cylinder but hers is so refined and improved I know we won't have any issues for years and years the way she rides.

2008/9 vs 2010
Bought the 2010 LTX last year. Really nice sled, still heavy, but once you dial in the suspension and get some nice dually carbides it handles really well. You'll never notice the length except in a positive way. I went from a 121 to the 136 and see ZERO negatives to the length. This sled will run with most up to 80-90 and out pace the apex till then and give you an honest 16-20 mph with no oil burn. Pretty dang nice setup for trail riders. Now you can't quite keep up with sleds that are two hundred pounds lighter, but you won't have to rent a sled when they break down over and over either.
