Go back to page 1 for the complete play by play of what I have upgraded on this sled.
Hey Viper, thanks for the offer but I've actually already got a sled in mind. I'm going to check it out on the 6th and if all is in order with it, it'll be coming home with me!

I sincerely wish you the best of luck. Stay on the trail, go around the bumps and no matter the temptation...stay out of the deep. Over time she'll reveal her true self. If you ever need parts, I've got 2 or 3 of just about everything...slightly used of course.

the short list of things that will make it last and not agrivate you is
yamaheater
dartless plates on stock skis with shaper bars or Arrow skis
Ulmer bushing kit for sure
12 or 13mm sway bar
if it is a dial adjust, make up a tool to adjust it and don't bother fixing the cable when it brakes.
plan on installing donut gaskets at some point, dont waite till they rattle, usually this means you need pipes as well.
HID lights
inspect the skid alot for cracks, or remove it at your leasure and gusset the problem areas.
Revalve the shock, the differnce is amazing and it will help the skid survive alot longer.
They are a great sled, motor just gets better with age, they should have called them a couger.

Thanks for the well-wishes hayastusa. I'll let ya know if I ever need any of those parts
Viper, couple questions:
Is there a normal mileage mark that I should be replacing the donuts at?
I am a pretty small guy (140lbs soaking wet) so would revalving do much in my case?

The valving will be something you wont know till you have it done. I know yamaha is somehow afraid of progressive valving in shocks. I have not heard of any shock that pioneer has revalved that wasn't better. Your lighter than the norm so it might be an advantage.
donuts go when ever, no real mileage. from a couple to over 10000. Just when you hear a little exaust leak or small jingle at idle, assume it is time, don't wait. Waiting lets the pipe bang around in there and is what ruins the ends.
do you know Pete Albert?

Good to know! Thanks for the advice.
As for Pete Albert, I've never heard of him. Who is he?
