Also keep in mind that when you put your new seat cover on the foam it tends to make it feel firmer, including the cold weather. Like it, but as others said you may want to trim to round to the tank. I have also seen others (skidoo) build a base below the current seat to raise it up, leaves the current natural lines, but pushes everything up. Haven't seen it done on a Yamaha.

Not sure how mine was done it looks so factory, but I can say that it is not any less comfortable than the stock seat as far as the foam goes. I bought mine from Pat's in the UP used and they gave me the original owners ph# ,so I called the guy and he said foam was added unless it was added underneath....??

Very happy how it turned out.. The guy I was dealing with was amazing and did an awesome job with a lot of extra detail you can't even see and doubled up the material in areas where the seats normally tear

Just a quick seat update. The form I had originally used in the seat was too soft and was very irritating to ride, material on the top of the seat was too slippery and I was sliding around like a banana peel. I just had them replace all the foam with some super high density hard foam and we replaced the top part of the seat with some sticky material
