im looking to build a carb synchronizer for my RX-1. Ive seen multiple pages on google each a little different from the next on how to make such a tool.

Sooooo...... Im asking you Totally Yamaha Members to point me in the right direction and help me find the right specs to build such a tool for my RX-1

Thank You So Much.

ps......I did you the search function for this and Im not satisfied with what I have found so this explains the thread

built one today.......pretty easy to build and i made it for 14 bucks. Used Chainsaw Bar oil( its nice and bright red. Looking forward to seeing how it works

Used the same tool to sync the carbs on an old Yamaha Radian motorcycle over the weekend. It works well.

Grizztracks tool and write up is the way to go. Had my rx purring like a kitten last year!

I'm going to make one this summer when I start to go through my sled. It looks fairly simple to make and use. It sounds like it can make a big difference it the carbs are out of sync. I have a question for those who had these 4 strokes for a while. How often should the carbs be synced? Once a year when the carbs are cleaned ??

I did after cleaning the carbs, Some recommend syncing after a full tank of fresh gas

I sync the carbs every year after running a couple of tanks of gas. If the carbs are removed and cleaned you should always resync them.
