Anyone have any tips to lower the front of an rx1? shorter sping specs? Would also like to hear any feed back on the lightwegth widening kits.

You can NOT just put on a shorter spring. You can start by reducing the spring preload... lift the front of the sled off the ground, and loosen the springs until they are *just snug*. Any looser (or shorter of a spring), and they'll flap around and cause severe damage.
If you want to go down lower than that (only for a race sled, not for a trail sled), you will need different or modified shocks that don't extend as far.
Also, when lowering the front end, you will need to tighten down the straps in the back end... this is to maintain the correct ski pressure. Without tightening the straps, lowering the front end will actually make it WORSE.

if this is for racing on smooth surfaces (asphalt, grass, ice) there's a bunch of us using SRX shocks in the front. They won't work on the trail though as the bottom of the sled will hit if they compress too much.
I've backed off the spring tension on mine all the way and then compressed em as much as I could, then I used cut serpentine belts and wrapped em around the shocks and bolted em to hold the shocks compressed, got it down pretty low. How much will SRX shocks drop it? Will SX shocks work too?

With the asphalt suspension and srx shocks with the spring tension backed all the way off, I can have the frame resting on the ground. A little more pressure on the springs and it holds it up nicely. The stock rear skid raised the sled some more (see pic). SX shocks will also work. Pretty much any shock with the 2 eyelets, not the C clamp.

You need a shock that has a 13" center to center to maintain a decent amount of track on the ground and will lower the sled considerably.
